People in the Ozarks know the weather can change on a dime, and planning ahead is the best way to keep your family safe. It’s particularly true for seniors, who may have transportation concerns or special medical needs. That’s why Mercy Home Health, Mercy Hospice and Mercy Medical Supply are teaming up with local presenters for a seminar called Severe Weather Awareness for Seniors.
KY3 Meteorologist Ron Hearst, Mike Edwards from KJEL radio, Randy Rowe from the Laclede County Office of Emergency Management and David Sewell from the Red Cross will explain why planning can mean the difference between life and death.
The free presentation includes drawings for a weather radio and other great items. It’s set for 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 21 at the Hughes Senior Center in Lebanon. The Hughes Senior Center is located at 460 W. 5th Street. There’s no need to register, but if you need more information, call Lorie Jones at 417-532-3040.
