Alan Hollingsworth, M.D., medical director of Mercy Women’s Center, has been named to the editorial board of the The Breast Journal – the primary publication dedicated to breast disease research in the United States.
After submitting original research articles and serving as a reviewer of articles in the past, Hollingsworth was asked to join the editorial board. He will attend annual board meetings and review submitted articles for possible publication. Although Hollingsworth began his career in breast cancer as a dedicated surgeon, his areas of expertise for the editorial board will be focused on research dealing with screening epidemiology, breast MRI, risk assessment and breast cancer genetics.
