TISHOMINGO, Okla. – LaDonna Culp, MS, RN has been named director of nursing for Mercy Hospital Tishomingo.
Culp, a registered nurse, graduated from high school in Hobart, Okla., and went on to earn her associate of applied science from Murray State College. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) from East Central University in Ada, Okla. and her Master of Science in nursing (MS) from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Okla.
“LaDonna brings a great deal of experience and passion to this position,” said Gary Sharum, Mercy Hospital Tishomingo administrator. “Since stepping into this role, she has shown great enthusiasm and is already making some great changes and improvements to our nursing strategy.”
Beginning her nursing career as a licensed practical nurse, she soon made the move to Mercy Hospital Tishomingo, then known as Johnston County Memorial Hospital, to begin her career as a registered nurse.
During her years at the Tishomingo hospital, Culp has served as nurse manager, infection control specialist, medical floor nurse and emergency room nurse. True to her team player spirit, Culp jumped in wherever help was needed, gaining experience assisting in quality improvement, health information management and purchasing.
Culp is a member of the Oklahoma Nurses Association and American Nurses Association. She is married to James A. Culp and has four children, two stepchildren and four grandchildren.
Culp joins Gary Sharum, administrator, in the Mercy Hospital Tishomingo leadership office.
