Pulmonary Critical Care physician Dr. Youssef Yammine has been named the Mercy Hospital Hot Springs Physician of the Quarter for October 2013.
Dr. Yammine came to Mercy Hot Springs in 2012 after specialty training at the University of Oklahoma and University of Kansas. He is now eligible for the year-end Physician of the Year award.
“The main reason I chose to be a physician was my interest in human physiology and disease process. I like to help people and make a positive difference in their life,” Dr. Yammine said. “I am also interested in the critical care aspect of medicine, the intensity of the work, and the critical care thinking and management.”
Dr. Yammine was chosen after being nominated by Mercy Hot Springs co-workers.
“He’s so wonderful to his patients, his co-workers, and the nursing staff. He’s very patient and kind. He will take time to make sure all questions are answered. He’s just wonderful,” said Clinical Supervisor Shanee Wright.
