Get tickets now and save the date for Mercy’s Spirit Girls’ Night Out on Monday, November 11 at Fort Cinema. The event is designed to offer women valuable health-related information in a format that is fun and stress-free. So meet your girlfriends and make it a night out. The topic of the night: breast health and understanding the risk factors of breast cancer.
In addition to education, women can enjoy free health screenings and chair massages, chick flicks, dark chocolate, refreshments and the chance to win valuable door prizes.
“These events allow for women to come together in a trusted healthcare environment for information presented in an empowering format,” said Reta Baker, Mercy Hospital president. “When you combine this with fun and friendship, they have the power to activate change: change that can positively impact the lives of these women and the lives of their families.”
Admission to Spirit Girls Night Out is free but tickets are required. Tickets are available at the Mercy Hospital Registration Desk, the Mercy Medical Plaza at 902 S. Horton, and the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce. Each ticket will be entered in a drawing for door prizes.
Women may choose from one of three movies offered this year:
Safe Haven (PG 13), Drama, Mystery and Romance - A young woman with a mysterious past lands in Southport, North Carolina where her bond with a widower forces her to confront the dark secret that haunts her. Stars Julianne Hough, Josh Duhamel and Cobie Smulders.
The Lucky One (PG 13), Drama and Romance – A Marine travels to Louisiana after serving three tours in Iraq and searches for the unknown woman he believes was his good luck charm during the war. Stars Zac Efron, Taylor Schilling and Blythe Danner.
Life As We Know It (PG-13), Comedy and Drama – Two single adults, who don’t get along, become caregivers to an orphaned girl when their mutual best friends die in an accident. Stars Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel and Josh Lucas.
Fort Cinema is located at 224 S. 18th St. in Fort Scott. Doors open at 6 p.m. for screenings and movies start at 6:45 p.m.
