Mercy Hospice will offer its next bereavement support group meeting Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. in McAuley Hall at Mercy Hospital (located inside the round tower).
The support group is free of charge and open to anyone in the community who is dealing with the loss of a loved one and could benefit from this opportunity. Group meetings are conducted on the fourth Tuesday of each month and include education, peer support and take-home resource materials. Registration is not required; guests are welcome to join at their convenience.
Mercy’s hospice program provides comprehensive, end-of-life care for patients and support for families. Hospice services include nursing care; medication administration; medical equipment, supplies and therapies as appropriate; pain management; coordination of short-term hospital stays if needed; respite care for caregivers; coordination of needed social support services; emotional and spiritual support for patients and loved ones; and bereavement support for families.
