Ron D. Thetford, CHFM, SASHE, of Mercy Hospital Ada has earned senior status with the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association. Thetford was formally recognized for this achievement during the 50th ASHE annual conference this year.
Senior status (SASHE) is granted to ASHE members who support the heath care facilities management through leadership and education.
“We are very proud of Ron and his achievement of senior status,” said Kent Rogers, president of Mercy Hospital Ada. “Ron demonstrates continuous efforts to advance our organization and the field of health care engineering and facilities management. His ability to lead and collaborate is instrumental in the success of Mercy Hospital Ada.”
Thetford has been a co-worker at Mercy Hospital Ada (formerly Valley View Regional Hospital) seventeen years and has served as director of facility services for the last four years. He is an eight year member of ASHE and holds state licenses as an electrical contractor, as a locksmith, in access control, in closed circuit television and in nurse call systems. He is a 2012 graduate of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Ada and is a volunteer fire fighter in Holdenville, Okla.
