Mercy Health for Life to Offer 24-Hour Access

January 10, 2014

To better accommodate today’s busy lifestyles, Mercy Health for Life fitness center is transitioning to 24-hour access.

Effective Jan. 20, gym members will have the flexibility to work out when it is most convenient for them  -  any day, any time round the clock.

“This transition offers our community more choices in gym services and gives members more flexibility with their workout schedules,” said Rickenia Botts, Mercy Health for Life manager. She noted the expanded access should be particularly appealing for shift workers and others whose schedules have not allowed them to visit the gym during open hours.
Botts explained members who wish to have 24-hour gym access may purchase a $10 key card that permits them entry into the facility during non-staffed hours. Membership fees will remain the same, and 24-hour access is entirely optional. Members who don’t plan to use the gym after business hours are not required to purchase a key card.
This week, workers are installing the electronic key card access system, as well as a sophisticated security camera system to help  ensure the ongoing safety of gym members using the facility during non-staffed hours.
Each gym member wishing to have 24-hour access also must complete an application form acknowledging specific policies for safe and courteous use of the facility when Mercy co-workers are not on site.
Also this month, Health for Life is offering a membership special - buy two months and receive a third month free - and a free seven-day pass is available to allow prospective members an opportunity to try out the equipment, classes and services.
More information is available by calling the gym at 331-7250.
