ST. LOUIS - Mercy Cancer Care has officially joined Mercy Clinic becoming Mercy Clinic Cancer Care.
The group of four physicians and 30-plus employees expands Mercy’s scope of cancer services and increases the total number of Mercy oncologists to 14 – with an additional two coming in April. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The oncologists and hematologists joining Mercy Clinic include: Burton M. Needles, MD; H. Shawn Hu, MD; John W. Finnie, MD; and Heide A. Rodgers, MD. In addition, Michele A. Nobs, APRN, will also join Mercy Clinic.
Current Mercy Clinic oncologists in Mercy’s East region include:
“While the physicians joining have been close to Mercy for years, having them part of Mercy Clinic will allow patients to have more coordinated care and cohesive medical records,” said Dr. John Hubert, Mercy Clinic president.
Mercy Clinic is a multi-specialty, physician-led group affiliated with Mercy hospitals in St. Louis, Washington, Mo., and Crystal City, Mo. Mercy’s east Missouri region has nearly 600 primary care and specialty physicians, more than 100 nurse practitioners and physician assistants and covers more than 50 clinical specialties with 100 practice sites.
