Mercy to Host Free Fit Family Nutrition Classes in August

OKLAHOMA CITY – Do you have a picky eater? Do you beg your children to eat vegetables? Are you a short-order cook in your own home?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then Mercy has a solution for you.

Sign up today to attend Mercy’s Fit Family Nutrition classes presented by Lori Manning, a registered and licensed dietitian in Mercy’s Outpatient Nutrition Therapy Department.

“We are so excited to help the community make healthy and delicious meals for their families,” said Manning. “During the class, we will teach participants about the feeding relationship between parents and children; how to plan and prepare healthy kid-approved meals; and ways to make fitness fun.”

Meal plans for kids’ lunches and recipes will also be provided.

There are two opportunities to participate in this class:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 6 to 7 p.m. in Conference Room E at the new Mercy Edmond facility, located at 2017 West I-35 Frontage Road in Edmond.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 20 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City’s NeuroScience Institute, located at 4120 West Memorial Road in Oklahoma City, suite 102.
