New Orthopedic Surgeon Joins Mercy Clinic in Edmond

October 10, 2014

EDMOND, Okla. – Since he was a young boy, Dr. Jonathan Capelle has always wanted to practice medicine.

After years of medical school, residency and fellowship training, Capelle is achieving his childhood dream at Mercy’s orthopedic clinic along I-35 in Edmond.

“As a sports medicine physician, I have a deep interest in knowing what hobbies and activities my patients are interested in so I can develop a team-based treatment plan to give patients the best chance of getting back to the things they love,” said Capelle, an orthopedic surgeon.

Capelle received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and his sports medicine fellowship training from Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

Originally from Austin, Texas, Capelle recently moved to Oklahoma with his wife from Jackson, Mississippi, where he was completing his fellowship training. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, running, biking, camping, going to the lake and participating in other outdoor activities.
