Mercy Clinic Adds New Doctors

ST. LOUIS - Mercy Clinic, the multi-specialty physician group affiliated with Mercy Hospital and Mercy Children’s Hospital, recently added new doctors.

Byron Baptist, MD, an internist, joined Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine - Creve Coeur, 12855 North Outer Forty Dr., Ste. 280. He earned his medical degree from Our Lady of Fatima University in Manila, Philippines, and completed an internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

Carisa Barnhill, DO, an internist, joined Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine - Eureka, 20 Legends Parkway in Eureka. She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri, and completed an internal medicine residency at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Christopher Blanner, MD, a family medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Family Medicine - O’Fallon, 300 Winding Woods Dr., Ste 222, in O’Fallon, Missouri. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri. He completed a Family Medicine Residency at Truman Medical Center Lakewood in Kansas City, Missouri.

Margaret Edwards, DO, an internist, joined Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine - Clayton-Clarkson, 15945 Clayton Rd., Ste. 320, in Ballwin. She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri, and completed an internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

Cristina Fernandez, MD, a family medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Family Medicine - Piper Hill, 107 Piper Hill Dr., Ste. 150, in St. Peters. She earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky, where she also completed a family medicine residency. 

Hilel Frankenthal, MD, a pediatric critical care physician, joined Mercy Clinic Children’s Critical Care where he will care for patients in the pediatric intensive care unit at Mercy Children’s Hospital. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. He completed a pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital at Downstate in Brooklyn, New York, and a pediatric critical care fellowship at The University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois

Nicholas Greiner, DO, a family medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Family Medicine - Hazelwood, 801 Hazelwest Dr. He earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and completed a family medicine residency at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Layla Hajjafar, MD, MSc, a gastroenterologist, joined Mercy Clinic Digestive Disease - Lake St. Louis, 200 Brevco Plaza, Ste. 208, in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. She earned her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio. She completed an internal medicine residency at Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, where she also completed both a gastroenterology and a liver transplant fellowship.

Abhilasha Jarori, MD, an internist, joined Mercy Clinic Adult Hospitalists and will care for hospitalized patients at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. She earned her medical degree from Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she also completed an internal medicine residency.

Zeina R. Karam, MD, a nephrologist, joined Mercy Clinic Nephrology - Washington, 901 Patients First Dr., in Washington, Missouri. She earned her medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon. She completed an internal medicine residency at Saint Louis University and a nephrology fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.

Thomas H. Landon, MD, an urologist, joined Mercy Clinic Urology - Washington, 901 Patients First Dr., in Washington, Missouri. He earned his medical degree from Finch University in Chicago, Illinois, and completed an urologic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Gregory P. McLennan, MD, an urologist, joined Mercy Clinic Urology, 621 S. New Ballas Rd, Ste 6011B in St. Louis. He earned medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed a urology residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Carl N. Peters, MD, a family medicine physician, joined Mercy Urgent Care and will be caring for patients at Mercy Urgent Care locations throughout the St. Louis area. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri and completed a family medicine residency at David Grant USAF Medical Center/University of California-Davis at Travis AFB, California.

Jason A. Shanker, DO, an emergency medicine physician, joined Mercy and will care for emergency room patients at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. He earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri, and completed an emergency medicine residency at CHRISTUS Spohn in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Amanda J. Sileo, DO, a family medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Family Medicine - Wentzville, 1502 West Meyer Rd., in Wentzville. She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and completed an internal medicine residency at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Srikanth Thalakoti, MD, a child neurologist, joined Mercy Clinic Child Neurology, 621 S. New Ballas Rd., Ste. 5009B, in St. Louis. He earned his medical degree from the Gandhi Medical College in Pradesh, India. He completed a pediatric residency at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center and a child neurology fellowship at Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
