Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas has won the National Research Corporation Consumer Choice Award. The award identifies hospitals across the country that health care consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image.
“This is such an honor to have our community recognize Mercy in this way,” said Eric Pianalto, Mercy Northwest Arkansas president. “This award really reflects the dedication and commitment of our doctors, nurses and staff members who work each day to offer compassionate care and exceptional service to our community.”
Mercy NWA is one of just 273 hospitals nationwide and three others in Arkansas – including Mercy Hospital Fort Smith – that consumers have chosen as 2014/15 National Research Consumer Choice Award winners. Consumers in the NWA market have ranked Mercy at the top of the list based on four essential consumer metrics:
Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the company’s Market Insights survey, the largest online consumer health care survey in the country.
“The complexity of healthcare has urged consumers to play much more of an integral role in their care decisions, which in turn, is prompting hospitals and healthcare systems to lead a proactive approach to brand awareness,” said Brian Wynne, Vice President of Sales at National Research. “This year’s winners have done an exceptional job of representing their organizations in terms of high-quality care, improvement initiatives, and positive consumer perceptions and experiences.”
