Mercy to Host Free Heart Event on Feb. 21

February 3, 2015

Mercy’s heart and vascular experts work as a team to completely care for your heart. And, at Mercy, we believe that education is the key to identifying problems before they occur, which can then reduce your risk for heart disease and stroke.

February is American Heart Month. In honor of Heart Month, Mercy is proud to offer an educational program from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, in the Hennessy Education Center at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith for individuals who want to learn more about heart health.

At this free educational event, participants will hear from Mercy heart experts, receive free health screenings and have the opportunity to talk with a clinician about their test results.

Presentations include “Heart Health – Know the Numbers that Can Save Your Life,” which explains key definitions, indentifies risk factors and gives advice on how you can protect your heart. Screenings will include weight, BMI, blood pressure, circulation check and cholesterol.

The event is free of charge but space is limited. If you would like to sign up, call 479-314-6786.
