It’s back! Just in time for graduation and summer wedding gift-giving, the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary has scheduled its second “Luxury Linens” fund-raiser, offering high-quality sheet sets at deeply discounted prices.
The sale is open to the community and will run Tuesday, April 14, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Wednesday, April 15, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., in McAuley Hall at the hospital (located inside the round tower). Luxury Linens features 1,500-thread-count sheet sets in 12 different colors. The sheets have deep pockets and are designed to not wrinkle, shrink, fade or pill/bead.
Prices for complete sheet sets are twin size, $305; full, $35; queen, $40; and king and California king, $45; split king, $50. This year, Tempurpedic bed pillows, blankets and other items also will be offered.
Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted, and proceeds will benefit the Mercy Auxiliary’s funding priorities, including scholarships for medical students and special hospital projects.
“Last year’s linen sale was our first and it turned out to be a great success,” said Glenna Lawrence, special projects coordinator for the auxiliary. “Past customers can attest to the high quality of the Luxury Linens products, and I’m sure they will be excited to add more to their collections. These products also make wonderful gifts.”
Established in 1961, the Mercy Auxiliary’s more than 100 active members annually contribute approximately 20,000 hours of volunteer service to the hospital, working in areas and functions including: Mercy Clinic, the Coffee Dock snack bar and gift shop; Mercy Home Health; patient mail services; Registration; the Cancer Center; Mercy Health for Life; Mercy Pharmacy; host desk; courier services; bulletin boards; filing; special projects; Courtesy Transportation; and the annual fund-raising bazaar.
