More women in Southwest Missouri will soon have better access to mammograms. HOPE 4 You Breast Cancer Foundation will presented a $4,000 check to Mercy Health Foundation Joplin on Tuesday to provide free and low-cost mammograms to uninsured and under-insured women.

"HOPE 4 You has filled a gap in breast cancer awareness and prevention funding in 12 counties across Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Since 2008, HOPE 4 You has contributed nearly $35,000 to Mercy Health Foundation’s Mammogram Fund.“HOPE 4 You has a long-standing commitment to the women of this community,” said Sharon Clark, president of Hope 4 You Breast Cancer Foundation. “Mercy has demonstrated that same commitment and we couldn’t be more pleased to continue our partnership and support of Mercy’s mammogram program.”

If you or someone you know cannot afford a mammogram, call Mercy Breast Center at 417-621-4400. To learn more about Mercy Breast Center or to find the locations of the Mobile Mammogram Unit, visit
