Brian Freeland, PA-C, has joined Mercy Clinic Orthopedic Surgery.
Freeland is no stranger to the Ada community, having strong ties to both the local athletic and medical communities. He first came to Ada in the early 1990s to play football at East Central University. Before going to physician’s assistant school, he got his first taste of working in the medical field at the office of well known orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jack Howard, who has since retired. As a physician assistant, Freeland has worked in Holdenville, Coalgate and Atoka in both the orthopedic and emergency medicine specialties.
“My level of comfort with athletes and sports injuries combined with my desire to serve the Ada community made this move to Mercy Clinic Orthopedics right for me,” said Freeland. “Ada is my home and I look forward to building strong relationships with my patients, with local athletic programs and within the community as whole.”
Freeland attended East Central University in Ada and St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, New York. He received his Master of Health Science physician assistant degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
“It’s important to me that my patients have a clear understanding of their treatment plan, whatever it may be,” said Freeland. “I want my patients to trust me and know that I will work with them and answer all their questions on their path to recovering an injury.”
Freeland, his wife Robyn (who is a physician’s assistant at Carpenter Clinic) and their two children reside in Centrahoma.
