Annette Meyer Receives Excellence In Governance Award

BRANSON, Mo. — The Missouri Hospital Association has presented a 2015 Excellence in Governance Award to Annette Meyer, Mercy Hospital Lincoln, in recognition of her contribution to the health care community. Annette was one of four board members statewide honored during a June 18 presentation at MHA’s annual Leadership Forum in Branson, Missouri.

“This is a well-deserved recognition for Annette.  She’s a tremendous asset to our hospital board and community.  I appreciate her dedication, insight and support to the healthcare needs of the community we serve,” said Tony Rothermich, Mercy Hospital Lincoln Administrator.

Annette was elected to a five year term as an LCMC board in April 2010 having served as Secretary. She participated in the March 2013 Legislative Action on the Medicaid Option by Daniel Landon and the January 2013 Joint ACO Presentation with the Medical Staff. Annette has been actively involved in several community organizations including the Troy Rotary, Troy Elks, Lincoln County Health Foundation, Zonta and served as Past President of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce.

For the past 30 years, MHA’s Excellence in Governance award has been given annually to hospital board members for their dedication to exceptional health care. Award recipients are chosen by MHA’s district council presidents.

The Missouri Hospital Association is a not-for-profit association in Jefferson City that represents 151 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its members, the association offers continuing education programs on current health topics and seeks to educate the public, as well as legislative representatives, about health care issues.
