GUTHRIE, Okla. – As a health care provider, Alysha Weatherholtz enjoys helping patients better understand and manage their health.
“My primary goal with my patients is to educate them on their health care concerns and treatment options, and allow them to be an active part of their medical care,” she said. “I am very thorough and want patients to feel comfortable asking questions and voicing their concerns.”
Weatherholtz, a physician assistant, recently joined the Mercy Clinic primary care office on South Division in Guthrie. In her new role, she looks forward to working alongside a team of physicians and providers who are interested in providing quality care to patients.
Weatherholtz received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in forensic science from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, and her master’s degree through the physician associate program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
