Mercy Jefferson Names New Pastoral Services Manager

August 20, 2015

Rev. Rich Hadley

CRYSTAL CITY, Mo. – Mercy Hosptial Jefferson welcomes the Rev. Richard Hadley, M.Div., as the new Pastoral Services manager. Rich is an ordained Church of the Nazarene pastor with 15 years of congregational ministry and hospital chaplaincy for the past five years.

Originally from Indiana, Rich went to high school in Oklahoma before serving nearly 10 years in the U.S. Army in the reserves and on active duty. With his service to his country behind him and guidance from his Army chaplain and pastor, Rich answered a calling.

His master’s degree is from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, and he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies/Pastoral Ministry from Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He previously was staff chaplain with SSM Health Care in St. Louis since 2012.

Following graduation Rich was pastor at churches in Illinois, Kentucky and Indiana. It was in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he discovered clinical pastoral education and began balancing his work with hospitals along with his congregation. He said his new location is familiar.

“Crystal City seems like a lot of the places I have been a pastor,” Rich said. “My life has had a lot of diversity. I believe that helps me to communicate with people. It seems we can always find something to relate to.”

Rich and his wife Tawnya have two sons and a daughter.

He can be reached by email at Richard.Hadley@mercy.net or by calling Pastoral Care at 636-933-1325. Learn more at Mercy.net.
