After having two back surgeries, Dr. Brian Parks understands firsthand the importance of pain management.
“From a young age, I always wanted to be a doctor,” said Parks, a new pain management physician at Mercy Clinic Pain Management in Ada. “I enjoy helping people and connecting with them on a personal level as we work together to decrease their pain and improve their function and quality of life.”
He is now pain free and said his personal experience with pain management drives his passion to help others manage their pain. He believes in using various techniques to treat pain, approaching each patient with personalized care.
Parks earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, and his doctorate of osteopathic medicine at A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He completed his anesthesiology residency and pain medicine fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Parks recently moved to Ada with his wife and their four children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and outdoor activities, like camping and fishing.
