Mercy Clinic Welcomes Two New Pulmonologists to Fort Smith

Mercy Clinic Pulmonology recently welcomed Yazan Abdeen, MD and Daphne MacBruce, MD to Fort Smith. Drs. Abdeen and MacBruce use innovative procedures to diagnose and treat breathing problems, such as pneumonia, asthma, COPD, pulmonary hypertension and lung cancer.

Dr. Abdeen received his medical degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology in Irbid, Jordan, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Abdeen also completed a fellowship in critical care and pulmonary disease at Saint Michael’s Medical Center, a Seton Hall University program. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, is fluent in English and Arabic, and enjoys swimming, traveling and spending time with his family in his spare time.

Dr. MacBruce received her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in St. George’s, Grenada. She was also chief resident in internal medicine and completed her fellowship in critical care and pulmonary disease at Saint Michael’s Medical Center, a Seton Hall University program. She is a member of the American Medical Association, and enjoys gardening and hiking in her spare time.
