Mercy Clinic St. Louis Adds News Physicians

ST. LOUIS - Mercy Clinic, the multi-specialty physician group affiliated with Mercy Hospital and Mercy Children’s Hospital, added new doctors throughout the fall.

Gautum Agarwal, MD, urologist, joined Mercy Clinic Urology, located at 607 S. New Ballas Rd. Dr. Agarwal earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed an urology residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California, and a urologic oncology fellowship at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, Florida.

Khaled Awad, MD, cardiologist and electrophysiologist, joined Mercy Clinic Heart and Vascular, with several locations throughout St. Louis, as well as in Jefferson County and Rolla, Missouri. Dr. Awad earned his medical degree from University of Mansoura in Mansoura, Egypt. He completed an internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and a cardiovascular diseases fellowship at University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Dr. Awad also completed an electrophysiology fellowship at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Kristen Bruno, MD, pediatrician, joined Mercy Clinic Pediatrics – Piper Hill, located at 107 Piper Hill Dr., in St. Peters. Dr. Bruno earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis, Missouri, and completed a pediatric residency at Saint Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Huiyi Chen, MD, ophthalmologist, joined Mercy Clinic Eye Specialists, located at 621S. New Ballas Rd. Dr. Chen earned her medical degree from Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, P. R. China. She completed an ophthalmology residency at University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri and Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, P. R. China. She also completed a glaucoma fellowship at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

Courtney Cockerell, DO, internal medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Adult Hospitalists – St. Louis and cares for hospitalized patients at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Dr. Cockerell received her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri, and completed an internal medicine residency at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Laura Covert, DO, family medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Family Medicine – Fenton, located at 1203 Smizer Mill Rd. Dr. Covert earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from A. T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri, and completed a family medicine residency at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

Cassandra R. Edwards, DO, internal medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic and opened a new practice, Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine – Chippewa, located at 6435 Chippewa St. Dr. Edwards earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, and completed an internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

Ammara Gill, MD, internal medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine - Piper Hill, located at 107 Piper Hill Dr., in St. Peters. Dr. Gill earned her medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan. She completed an internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, and a hematology/oncology fellowship at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Andrew Kichura, MD, internal medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Adult Hospitalists – St. Louis and provides care to patients at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Dr. Kichura earned his medical degree from University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri, and completed an internal medicine residency at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

Aleksandr Lanis, MD, internal medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine – Lindbergh, located at 3844 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Dr. Lanis earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed an internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

Andrew Lawrence, MD, family medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Family Medicine-Wildwood, located at 16555 Manchester Rd. Dr. Lawrence earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed a family medicine residency and care sports medicine fellowship at AnMed Health in Anderson, South Carolina.

Gwyneth McCawley, MD, neurologist, joined Mercy Clinic Neurology - Tower B, Suite 5003B located at 621 S. New Ballas Rd. She also provides care at Mercy Clinic Headache Center, 12680 Olive Blvd., Suite 200. Dr. McCawley earned her medical degree from University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. She completed a neurology residency and headache medicine fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center in Stanford, California.

Katherine Moritz, MD, dermatologist, joined Mercy Clinic Dermatology, located at 621 S. New Ballas Rd., Suite 483A. Dr. Moritz earned her medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed a dermatology residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

David E. Mosley, MD, internal medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine – Dunn, located at 755 Dunn Rd. Dr. Mosley earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed an internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

Nicholas Powers, DO, family medicine and trauma surgeon, joined Mercy Clinic and provides care at Mercy Urgent Care Centers. Dr. Powers earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Nova Southeastern College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He also completed a family practice residency at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, and a general/trauma surgery residency at Mount Clemens General Hospital in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
 

Melissa Ryan, MD, internal medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine, located at 3844 S. Lindbergh Blvd., Ste 160. Dr. Ryan earned her medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and completed an internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Melissa Roewe, DO, pediatrician, joined Mercy Clinic Pediatrics – O’Fallon, located at 300 Winding Woods Dr., and Mercy Clinic Pediatrics – Hazelwood, located at 755 Dunn Rd. Dr. Roewe earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, and completed a pediatric residency at Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando, Florida.

Michelle Schultz, MD, internal medicine physician, joined Mercy Palliative Care, located at 621 S. New Ballas Rd., Ste. 6017B. Dr. Schultz earned her medical degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts, and completed an internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Keniesha Thompson, MD, internal medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Adult Hospitalist – St. Louis and cares for hospitalized patients at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Dr. Thompson earned her medical degree from University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Leo C. Warren, MD, internal medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic Post Acute Services, located at 621  S. New Ballas Rd., Ste 6017-B. Dr. Warren earned his medical degree from University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri, where he also completed an internal medicine residency.

Linda (Rene) Winterberger, DO, family medicine physician, joined Mercy Clinic and provides care at Mercy Urgent Care Centers. Dr. Winterberger earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She completed a family medicine residency at Normandy Osteopathic Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri
