EDMOND, Okla. – For Dr. Michelle Brunnabend, there are few things more gratifying than seeing a mother embrace her new child.
“Watching women transform into mothers is one of the most beautiful things in the world,” Brunnabend said. “I have to pinch myself because I am so honored and so humbled to be there for that important milestone.”
Brunnabend joins a team of multi-specialty physicians at Mercy Clinic OB/GYN in Edmond. A mother to three boys, Brunnabend knows the importance of helping other women make the best decisions for both their babies and their bodies.
“It is important to be to support women in having the kind of birth they want to have. Whether it’s a natural birth or a cesarean section, I strongly believe women should be educated about all of their options when it comes to their health.”
A newcomer to the Sooner State, Brunnabend and her family moved to Oklahoma less than two years ago from California. She received her bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern California. Brunnabend later received her medical degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri, before returning to California to complete a residency program. Brunnabend also has a master’s degree in public health.
When she’s not at work, Brunnabend enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys sewing, crafting and scrapbooking.
