EDMOND, Okla. – From working in the hospital to serving the community, John Lampert stays busy. In addition to being the executive director of operations at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma city, Lampert now has a new role to fill. He was recently elected to serve a three-year term on the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. During that time, Lampert will also serve a one-year term on the executive committee.
“It’s an honor,” Lampert said. “I am thankful for the opportunity to represent both Mercy and the community. I know I have big shoes to fill.”
Lampert will take the place of Aaron Steffens, Mercy’s chief operating officer, who served on the board for nearly a decade.
“John could not be a better fit for the board and for the people of Edmond,” Steffens said. “John’s input and strengths will help Edmond grow both economically and in quality of life, which will benefit a number of Mercy’s patients as well.”
Lampert began his term Jan. 1 and was formally introduced at a special induction luncheon at the end of the month.
