Mercy co-workers and the community are gearing up for the second 5K @ the LPGA benefiting Mercy Northwest Arkansas on June 25.
New this year is that a portion of the proceeds from the race will go directly into the Mercy Community Health Fund, which helps those who are living in poverty, who are homeless, ill or marginalized in some way.
Mercy encourages co-workers, family and friends to participate in this fun event by walking, running, or volunteering. There is a 1K fun run in addition to the 5K event.

The 5K @ the LPGA is among events associated with the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, an official LPGA event that draws top professional female golfers. It is the 10th anniversary for the three-day tournament, which is held at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers.
The 5K @ LPGA begins at 7:30 a.m. June 25, the second day of the tournament. Starting at the Walmart AMP, the race course winds through the streets of Pinnacle and down the golf course’s 17th hole. Parking will be just south of the AMP.
Participants can pick up race packets 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 24 at Mercy Family YMCA, 5214 Village Parkway in Rogers.
The race is limited to 900 participants and hundreds have registered, so don’t delay.
