Mercy Welcomes New Human Resources Manager

July 18, 2016

Mercy welcomes Lynn Harris as full-time Human Resources Manager.

Lynn comes to Mercy from Phoenix where she worked for Habitat for Humanity and St. Mary’s Food Bank. She looks forward to re-establishing roots near her hometown of El Dorado Springs, Missouri where she once worked at Cedar County Memorial Hospital.

“For the past 20 years, if we didn’t take the toll roads when driving to visit family in Missouri, we would take Highway 54 in New Mexico, eventually through Fort Scott to El Dorado Springs where my family lives,” Lynn said. “When I saw the opportunity at Mercy, I jumped on it.  This is a great job in a great place; who could ask for more?

It is also an opportunity for me to be closer to my aging parents, which brings a much needed piece of mind for me.”

The position at Mercy allows me the chance to do the work I love and in the field of health care.”

Lynn has three children and eight grandchildren. Her hobbies include antiquing, reading anything history related, Pinterest (if that’s a hobby), relaxing by the lake and spoiling her grandkids. She has one pet, Luke, a lab mix that thinks he much, much smaller than he actually is. Unfortunately, he did not make the trip with Lynn but stayed in Arizona with her daughter.

“I look forward to becoming part of the Mercy family and offer support for all things HR at Mercy,” Lynn said. “I hope to bring not only my HR experience and knowledge but also my compassion and dedication to helping others.”
