Mercy Jefferson welcomes our new full-time Environmental Services Manager, Brian Walker, who will take on the role held by interim manager Craig Ringe since September 2015.
“The growth at Mercy Jefferson is extremely exciting. I am anxious to be a part of it,” Walker said. “Along with growth you have new experiences. I am looking forward to working with the the team to figure out the best way to get things done. Working together is the way that things get accomplished.”
Walker had been the EVS manger at Mercy St. Louis for the second and third shifts, a position he has held for eight years. Prior to his career with Mercy, he was EVS director at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis County for five years and an EVS team leader at Deaconess Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis.
“I have done just about everything in EVS. I’ve worked with linens, transportation, uniforms, and of course, housekeeping,” he said.
His first day at Mercy Jefferson will be July 5. A resident of Eureka, Brian and his wife Marchetta will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary in November. They have two children and six grandchildren.
“We are confident that Brian’s experience within the Mercy ministry, and the enthusiasm that he brings to the role, will be a strong fit for Mercy Jefferson,” said Dan Eckenfels, vice president Finance. He thanked Craig Ringe for his interim service.
“With all of the construction, remodeling and other changes we have experienced over the past nine months, Craig has been a true professional. We certainly appreciate his time and dedication,” Dan said.
