Need care for a minor health condition, but don’t have an appointment? You have a new option in Joplin.
Convenient care hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, with plans to add weekend hours in the near future, said Dr. Tracy Godfrey, president of Mercy Clinic Southwest Missouri/Kansas. You’ll be able to see a health care provider for minor injuries and conditions like coughs, flu, sore throats and earaches.
“Mercy Clinic is excited to offer convenient, walk-in care at its 50th Street clinic,” Dr. Godfrey said. “The Joplin area now has three convenient care clinics to bring health care closer to our patients.”
The new clinic, which opened Oct. 19 offering family medicine, is meeting a growing demand for health care in the four-state region. Mercy also has family medicine and convenient care clinics in the Joplin area at 1717 S. Range Line Road in Joplin and at Mercy Clinic – Stone’s Corner, 6151 N. Main St., Webb City. Additional family medicine locations are in Joplin, Carthage (Hazel Street and Medical Park Drive) and Neosho in Missouri, Miami in Oklahoma and Arma, Columbus, Fort Scott, Galena, Oswego and Pittsburg in Kansas.
Convenient care medical staff at 50th Street includes family nurse practitioners Donna Schultz and Amy Buckner. Mercy Convenient Care – 50th Street can be reached at 417-556-5800.
