Generous community support helped push Mercy’s White Christmas Charity Ball to another record-breaking night on Dec. 9. With more than 900 community members and community leaders in attendance, the ball raised over $465,000 to support and expand health care in Fort Smith and the River Valley.
Part of the Charity Ball’s proceeds will go to Catherine’s Light, a new program that seeks to empower expectant mothers to better cope with social, environmental and behavioral challenges of having a child.
Presenting sponsor for this year’s ball was the William Thomas and May Pittman Hennesy Foundation. The Atlantic City Boys offered two performances that included covers of hit songs and holiday favorites.
Mercy Health foundation is already planning for the next 50th anniversary Charity Ball on Dec. 8, 2017.
