Ardmore's 'Wear Red' Creating Awareness

February 7, 2017

For the second year, Mercy Hospital Ardmore will team up with Oklahoma Heart Hospital and Chickasaw Nation to raise awareness for heart disease, the number one killer of women.

"About 3,000 women last year died of heart disease in Oklahoma," said Debbie Pender, Mercy Hospital Admore's vice president of nursing, during a recent interview with KTEN.

The "Wear Red For Women" event, which will be held on February 23rd at 11:30 A.M., will feature a silent auction for designer hand bags and a heart healthy lunch. Money raised will go toward the purchase of automated external defibrillators for local schools.

Tickets can be purchased here for $20/person.
