Protect Your Skin Now to Prevent Cancer Later

July 17, 2017

Summer break might be half over, but the sun is still out in full force. July is UV (ultraviolet) Safety Awareness Month and a time to make sure you're taking care of your skin. Damage done today might take 20-30 years to turn into cancer, so make sure you're using plenty of sunscreen and seeking shade when possible.

Dr. Dermond Henry, at St. Anthony's Kirkwood Family Medicine, explains why protecting your skin now will save it later in life.
