The story of managing weight or weight loss is all too familiar.
“I’ve been there,” said Brianna Culbertson, Mercy Health for Life personal trainer.
“As a college athlete, I was always active and never really had to think about watching what I ate and monitoring my activity.”
After college, that changed.
“I became sedentary and wasn’t paying attention to how my body would react. I soon found the need to lose weight.
It wasn’t easy. I was like so many people; I tried the quick fixes to control my weight. But with the help of my body-building dad, I learned the healthiest and most effective means to weight loss is eating right and exercising.”
Now 90 pounds lighter, Brianna wants to help people take out the trial and error phase of the weigh-loss equation.
“My clients know that I’ve been in their shoes, so I can relate to them. I enjoy listening to their needs, wants and goals, then helping them put a plan in motion that leads them on the journey to success.”
Personal training has become Brianna’s calling. She set aside her Bachelor’s degree aspirations in communications to peruse a new career in what she is passionate about – helping others find joy in wellness.
Brianna is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer with nearly a year of professional training experience. In addition to being a personal trainer at Mercy Health for Life, she also teaches group fitness classes.
“I want people to know that I won’t ask of them anything that I haven’t done myself.”
