The quest for providers to help patients with behavioral health needs was identified in the community assessments completed by Mercy for the Jefferson County region. To answer that need, Mercy Clinic has added two new physicians and has a third doctor scheduled to join the staff in early autumn.
In July, Fiza Khan, MD, joined Mercy and opened Mercy Clinic Child and Adolescent Psychiatry – Jefferson. Her office is in the Medical Office South on the Mercy Jefferson campus at 1400 US Highway 61, Suite 150A. You can reach Dr. Khan at 636-543-2237.
Dr. Khan earned her medical degree from American University in Antigua, West Indies. She completed an adult psychiatry residency at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
On August 13, Erum Qazi, MD, joined Mercy Clinic Adult Psychiatry – Jefferson. Her office is also in the Medical Office South at 1400 US Highway 61, Suite 150A. You can reach Dr. Qazi at 636-543-2231.
Dr. Qazi earned her medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences in Pakistan and completed her residency in Psychiatry at Saint Louis University Hospital.
A third psychiatrist, Michael Cooper, DO, will join Mercy Clinic Adult Psychiatry – Jefferson in October.
