Pediatrician Dr. Shannon MacGregor recently joined Mercy Clinic and will care for patients in Sunset Hills. Outside of work, she enjoys running, yoga, watching football and spending time with her husband and son.
When did you know you wanted to be a doctor?
I honestly do not remember ever wanting to do anything else. I dreamed of being a pediatrician ever since elementary school, and I am so grateful that I am now getting to live that dream every day!
What drew you to your specialty?
I have always had a passion for working with children, so pediatrics was a natural fit. I love having the opportunity to build relationships with patients and their families, watch them grow and develop, and support them in reaching their fullest potential.
What made you want to join Mercy?
I completed my outpatient pediatric training at Mercy under the guidance of an incredible mentor and was inspired by the work that she and her staff were doing to advocate for the health of children. I observed that same commitment to service with the providers and staff at Mercy Clinic Pediatrics - Sunset Hills. Through those experiences, I knew that Mercy was a system devoted to patient care, and one that I am now thankful to be a part of.
