Mercy Sports Medicine named its Athletes of the Year at a recent St. Louis FC soccer game. Megan Moll and Andrew Kempen were selected from the past academic year's monthly winners based on their hard work and achievement on and off the field.
Moll, a recent graduate of Eureka High School, was a four-year varsity starter in both softball and soccer in three different positions. She also excelled in the classroom and was named a 2018-2019 St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Kempen, a recent graduate of Westminster Christian Academy (WCA), was a four-year starter for football as a kicker. He was also a four-year honor roll student and raised more than $9,400 for Kick-It For Cancer during his high school years.
Each month, student athletes are nominated by athletic directors, coaches and Mercy athletic trainers to be named Mercy Sports Medicine Athletes of the Month. They are selected by a committee. Each student athlete is nominated and chosen based on outstanding citizenship, academic performance and athletic achievements.
