Did you always know you wanted to be a doctor?
I knew I wanted to be a doctor from a young age. The complexity of the human body was fascinating to me and service to others was a passion of mine. Being a doctor seemed like the perfect way to combine those interests.
What drew you to family medicine?
I chose family medicine because I wanted to care for patients of all ages and to establish long term relationships with patients and their family members. I also appreciate the family medicine focus on preventive care and managing chronic diseases, in order to prevent or to improve co-morbidities and enhance wellbeing.
What made you want to join Mercy?
Mercy was highly recommended to me by family and friends. I was especially excited that Mercy has retained its identity as a Catholic institution. I welcome opportunities to incorporate faith in my patient encounters for patients who find it meaningful.
