Dr. Leslie Tucker to Honored with Plaque

WASHINGTON, Missouri - Days before his official retirement, Leslie Tucker, MD, FACG, was presented a plaque to hang in the conference room at Mercy Washington that bears his name. 

Dr. Tucker has been caring for patients at Mercy Hospital Washington since 1982. He spent nearly four decades as the director of Continuing Medical Education giving more than 150 lectures at the national, state and local level and helped countless doctors and nurses achieve their CME credits for annual licensure.

Dr. Tucker brough numerous innovations to Washington including the gastroenterology division and GI Lab, staffed with trained GI nurses, techs and medical professionals. He served as the chairman of the department of medicine and director of Gastroenterology inspiring past and future generations of Mercy providers and physician to follow in his footsteps.
