¹ Performance Year 1 for Shared Savings Program ACOs includes a 21- or 18-month period for ACOs with 2012 start dates and a 12-month period for ACOs with 2013 start dates.

How Shared Savings Are Distributed

If shared savings are received, the savings shall be distributed as follows:

Agreement period beginning 2013, Performance Year 1: $0, Agreement period beginning 2013, Performance Year 2014: $0, and Agreement period beginning 2013, Performance Year 2015: $0:

  • Shared savings will first be used to cover Mercy expenses to expand patient care and access.
  • Remaining shared savings will be distributed to ACO participants
    • 50% to Mercy Hospital Springfield for general operations
    • 50% to Mercy Clinic Springfield Communities for distribution to physicians
