Cancer is challenging in its own right; having to travel long distances for cancer treatment only adds to that challenge. Mercy Health Center brings cancer testing and treatments to our community, so you can get the care you need, while remaining close to home and family.
At Mercy’s Fort Scott branch of the Cancer Center of Kansas, patients can receive chemotherapy, transfusion and injection treatments Monday through Friday. Appointments with an oncologist are available weekly on Wednesdays.
Every Monday, a mobile PET/CT unit is available on site to provide critical testing services. PET/CT scanning offers distinct advantages: It combines two advanced diagnostic tests into one, reducing testing time, lowering the dosage needed, and enhancing results through high-definition imaging.
We are proud to make these advances in care more accessible for our Fort Scott neighbors. And, by doing so, we hope to make life just a bit easier for cancer patients and their families.
