Oncoplastic Breast Surgery

Also called aesthetic oncology, oncoplastic surgery of the breast is an exciting and innovative method to treat breast cancer.

Oncoplastic breast surgery employs reconstructive surgical techniques to shape remaining tissue or form a new breast and correct imbalances in the remaining breast after removal of breast tissue.

Currently, surgery remains the mainstay of treatment for breast cancer in most cases.  Oncoplastic breast surgery is a welcome option for those coping with the diagnosis and life changing implications – including disfiguring surgery – of breast cancer.
