Richard J. Gimpelson, MD, David J. Levine, MD, and Corey Wagner, MD, are recognized as experts in the field of minimally invasive gynecology and surgery. Our gynecologic surgeons provide treatment for endometriosis, incontinence, pelvic pain, fibroid tumors, vaginal mesh removal, abnormal bleeding, ovarian cysts & more.
Dr. Levine is currently involved in a clinical study on reducing the size of Uterine fibroids. He was recently interviewed by Fox 2 about the study. Watch the story here.
Benefits of minimally invasive gynecology over traditional surgery:
- Quicker recovery (sometimes hours or days instead of weeks)
- Significantly less post-operative pain and less chance of infection
- Smaller incisions or no incision (more cosmetically appealing)
- Outpatient hysterectomy procedures and alternatives to hysterectomy.
Dr. Richard Gimpelson and Dr. Corey Wagner won the award for the best video abstract in the category of Hysteroscopy at the AAGL's 43rd annual Global Congress on Minimally Invasive Gynecology in Vancouver, British Columbia, in November 2014. Their video was titled, Hysteroscopic Techniques: The Thumb Drive. Their video demonstrates their new technique, "the thumb drive," which improves safety during hysteroscopic surgery.
