Mercy's Fertility Care Clinic in Washington MO provides highly effective fertility care services using the Creighton Model fertility care system to help couples avoid or achieve pregnancy naturally, without chemicals or devices. In addition to family planning, our clinic offers family fertility education programs, speakers, and infertility support referral to a licensed professional counselor. Our fertility clinic is affiliated with the Fertility Care Centers of America.
The Creighton Model is a safe, reliable, and inexpensive way to plan your family based on tracking markers in your menstrual cycle. Couples who’ve used the Creighton Model report a fuller understanding of their cycles, sexuality, and relationship. The Creighton Model system is also used as a tool to help in the diagnosis and treatment of many gynecologic abnormalities. Nearly 50% of clients enter for health issues, including infertility, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), ovarian cysts, hormone irregularities, and endometriosis. If these conditions are suspected through evaluation of the tracking system, we help you provide that information to your doctor.
We also work with specially trained doctors in a specialty called NaProTechnology that works to find the underlying cause of your condition. A complete list of NaProTechnology physicians is available through our office.
The fertility care program is highly regarded as a means of planning your family naturally and helpful for couples dealing with infertility and other medical issues. Diane Daly, manager of the department, has worked in fertility care services at Mercy since 1977. She is a co-founder of the Creighton Model System and a co-founder of the Department of Fertility Care Services at Mercy Hospital.
As either a couple or on your own you’ll meet with a nurse who is a fertility care practitioner for an introductory session. Couples are encouraged to attend these sessions together. Introductory sessions are scheduled once a week. After an introductory session, you will attend private follow-up sessions, which are scheduled immediately after the introductory session, typically at the following increments - 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks as well as periodically throughout the first year.
Registration for all of our programs is conducted online. Please use the link below to register. The registration fee applies to all services within the first year and will offer at least eight follow-ups, plus all materials. This fee does not include the introductory session. Several insurance providers reimburse to varying degrees. No one is refused service because of an inability to pay.
