Visiting Hours
General Visiting HoursWe welcome visitors from 9a.m. – 9p.m. daily. Visitors should be free from colds, sore throats or other contagious conditions. Children should never be left unattended. Visits by children may be restricted based on the patient's condition. Please check with the attending nurses.

Intensive Care UnitTo allow our patients to rest, please do not visit between the hours of 7 – 7:30a.m. and 7 – 7:30p.m.Patient visitors are restricted to two at one time. Quiet time is from 2p.m. – 4p.m. and 9p.m. – 6a.m.  The nurse or physician may limit visits at their discretion.

BirthplaceThe father or significant other may visit anytime. During labor, two visitors are permitted with the mother-to-be. Other family members or friends are asked to stay in the family waiting area. Visits by children under age 12 are limited, and all children, including siblings, must be accompanied by an adult.

Parking Service
Free parking for patients and visitors is available near all entrances to Mercy. Please be sure to lock your car and keep valuables in the trunk.

Lodging
HotelsThere are several hotels near Mercy. Some offer discounted rates. Just mention that you are a family member of a patient who is at Mercy.  Please contact the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce for a hotel listing at 620-223-3566 or visit the website www.fortscott.com.

Recreational VehiclesRV campsites are available for rent at Fort Scott Campground.  For more information, call 620-223-3440.

Dining
Catherine’s Café welcomes patients, family member, guests and the community to experience quality food at a reasonable price.  The cafe is located on the lower level of the hospital and serves full breakfast and lunch including hot entrees, salad bar, chilled items, pasties and frozen yogurt.  A large selection of beverages is also available. Café hours are 6:30a.m. – 6p.m. Monday through Friday.

Gift Shop
The Mercy Auxiliary operates the Mercy Market Place located near the main entrance on the east side of the hospital. The shop offers gift items, jewelry, newspapers, magazines, greeting cards, candy, snacks, toiletries, flowers and plants. Flowers are delivered by volunteers. Flowers and plants are not permitted in the Intensive Care Units. To order flowers and other items, please call the Gift Shop at 620-223-2200 ext. 2292. The Gift Shop is open Monday-Friday 8:30a.m. – 5p.m.

Email a Patient
Send a "Get Well" or "Baby Congratulations" email to your loved one or friend while he or she is staying at Mercy. Simply fill in our email form and click "Submit."

Public Transportation
Bourbon County Senior Citizen’s Transportation provides public transportation throughout Bourbon County for a nominal fee.  Please call 620-223- 0750 to make arrangements.

We provide interpreters free of charge to its patients for the exchange of medical information.  To request an interpreter, please ask a caregiver or other co-worker for assistance.
