The pastoral services office at Mercy Hospital Aurora is staffed by professionally educated chaplains of various faith backgrounds. Chaplains are trained to provide compassionate listening, spiritual and emotional support.

What you can expect from a chaplain:

We routinely:

  • Support patient and family members in times of crisis or death
  • Provide ministry and education to hospital staff
  • Conduct outreach in the local community
  • Provide religious services, sacraments, prayer and other spiritual resources
  • Provide grief ministry and support group availability
  • Provide E-Chaplaincy
  • Function as members of the health care team
