Cancer Rehabilitation & Therapy

Most of us are familiar with cancer treatments like radiation therapy and chemotherapy. But did you know that many people with cancer also need physical rehabilitation?

If you’re undergoing (or have finished) cancer treatment, you may benefit from Mercy’s therapy services. We’ll help you overcome pain, fatigue, weakness and other side effects caused by treatment.

What is Cancer Rehabilitation & Therapy?

Cancer can take a toll on your quality of life and your ability to perform normal daily activities. You may need extra help getting through treatment, or getting back on your feet once cancer is behind you.

Mercy’s cancer rehabilitation professionals manage physical and cognitive problems that often affect cancer patients. Our team members include:

  • Physical therapists who can help you improve strength, mobility and endurance.
  • Occupational therapists trained to help you function better at home or work.
  • Speech therapists who can address problems with speaking, thinking or swallowing.
