Mercy Pharmacy Transition FAQs

For more than a century, Dierbergs Markets and Mercy have served the people of the St. Louis area. Now, for the first time, we are working together to serve the region. You can expect a seamless transition with the same friendly team to guide you through. We look forward to serving your pharmacy needs inside Dierbergs Markets!

Frequently Asked Questions

What does this mean for the pharmacy in my local Dierbergs?

While the name has changed, you won’t see any change in the exceptional quality and service you’ve come to expect from the pharmacies in Dierbergs.

Will my pharmacy team remain the same?

In nearly all cases, the same caring pharmacists and technicians will continue to serve you at Mercy Pharmacy locations in Dierbergs.

I refilled my prescription online last week. How can I check the status and where do I pick it up?

To check the status, please contact your pharmacy at the same phone number that is on your prescription label.  For pick up, please visit the pharmacy where you requested the refill.  It will be ready for you on your requested day. If the pharmacist has questions, he or she will let you know.  

What do I need to do to transfer my prescriptions to Mercy?

Nothing. All existing customer information has been seamlessly transitioned.

Will my recurring prescription continue as usual?

Yes. All existing prescriptions should continue as before, with no interruption in service.

Do I pick up my refill at the same pharmacy location that I’m used to?

Yes, prescriptions will be in place and will continue as they were originally set up. There may be a few select specialty prescriptions that would be shipped or delivered  directly to you. If this were the case, you would be notified of any change that would occur.

Do I need to notify my doctor of the change?

There is no need to notify your doctor. All prescriptions will be transitioned seamlessly to Mercy Pharmacy.

Do I need to create a new account with Mercy?

If you already have a Dierbergs account, we are working to transfer all information to our Mercy system. Until then, please use Guest Access to refill a prescription and check refill status.

If you are a Mercy patient, you can refill through your MyMercy account or sign up for a MyMercy account.

Will my insurance still be accepted with the change to Mercy Pharmacy?

We anticipate that all health plans that were accepted at Dierbergs pharmacies will continue to be in network now that Mercy operates these locations.

My physician is part of a non-Mercy health system. Can she continue to send my prescriptions to this location?

Yes, Mercy Pharmacies accept prescriptions from virtually all providers.

Will all locations remain open?

Yes. Mercy now operates all 22 current Dierbergs pharmacies. These added locations bring Mercy Pharmacy services closer to home for our patients while continuing to provide the exceptional quality and service Dierbergs’ customers have come to expect.

Can I choose to refill my prescriptions at another pharmacy?

We hope that all current customers will want to use Mercy Pharmacy services in Dierbergs locations, with the same high quality and service you rely on. If you need to change for any reason, such as moving to a different area, our pharmacists are here to support you and answer any questions you may have.
