Mercy Facilities and Co-workers Receive National Honors
Daly-Wilson, Hunt, Regen, Rohatgi & Sakmar Pediatrics in St. Louis has been recognized as a Level 1 Physician Practice Connections – Patient Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
Mercy Health Plans (MHP), Mercy’s managed care organization, has been ranked among the top 100 in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best Health Plans 2009-10 list. MHP’s Mercy MedicareADVANTAGE was the only Medicare Advantage plan in the state of Missouri to receive a Five Star Excellent Rating for 2010 by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City has been named on of the Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospitals in the nation, according to Thomson Reuters and Modern Healthcare magazine. The full list appears in the November 16 issue of Modern Healthcare.
St. John’s Mercy Medical Center co-workers Denny DeNarvaez, Mercy senior vice president – regional markets and president/CEO of St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, and Tracey Moffatt, RN, executive vice president of clinical performance and chief nursing executive at St. John’s Mercy, were honored by the Missouri Hospital Association (MHA). Denny was honored with the 2009 Visionary Leadership Award and Tracey was awarded MHA’s Distinguished Quality Professional Award.
St. John’s Life Line Celebrates 25 Years
St. John’s Life Line crews and philanthropist John Q. Hammons were recognized at an event on November 5 in Springfield, Mo., celebrating the 25th anniversary of the region’s oldest and most accident-free air ambulance service. In its 25-year history, Life Line has responded to more than 40,000 requests and transported more than 25,500 patients.
