Mercy Women's Center - Oklahoma City

Dedicated to keeping women healthy

Mercy Women's Center in Oklahoma City, OK was the first facility in the state to acquire digital mammography and the first to incorporate breast MRI into routine, clinical practice, and now we are offering 3D mammography with the lowest dose of radiation in the state.

We have one of the most active research centers in the United States, performing clinical trials and helping pioneer innovations like a unique blood screen that tests for early-stage breast cancer that even mammography can’t detect.

And our Oklahoma City facility is one of only three sites in the country testing the new spiralRodeo™ breast MRI.

It’s this type of research, along with our dedicated breast surgeons, and detection, treatment and prevention programs, that make Mercy Women's Center so effective in fighting breast cancer.

Our Women's Center is one component of Mercy's comprehensive women's services that includes:

Understanding the difference between 2D and 3D mammography

We’re proud to expand our services to include low-dose tomosynthesis, or 3D mammography-the newest and most advanced technology in breast cancer detection.

An optional service for mammography patients, tomosynthesis can offer better visualization for radiologist. This improvement in visualization can result in fewer callbacks and, thus less anxiety for patients.

We’re thrilled to be able to offer tomosynthesis to our patients, but it’s important to remember that 2D digital mammography remains the gold standard for early detection and has been proven to reduce mortality from breast cancer in all age groups starting at age 40.

Talk to your doctor today to find out if 3D mammography is right for you, and rest easy knowing that, either way Mercy Women Center has you covered.
