Mercy Hospital Tishomingo Transportation

Mercy Hospital Tishomingo provides non-emergency wheelchair-accessible transportation for our patients on a limited basis, without charge.

Inpatients who require testing or medical consultation not provided at this facility, which needs to be completed prior to discharge, will be offered this service to ensure timely provision of care.

Patients who are discharging from the emergency department or from the inpatient hospital who have no other means of transportation may be transported to their discharge destination.

This service is not intended to replace emergency transportation services, other local public transportation or personal forms of transport where available.

  • Transportation may not always be available for patients who are being discharged from the ER and who don't have a ride, particularly during evening hours
  • Wheelchair-accessible van drivers are not available overnight.
  • Inpatient transportation requiring accompaniment is coordinated through Braxton to ensure a BLS-certified individual is available.
